I played Another World yesterday (and beat it) for a community challenge on VGG. It was highly frustrating at times and the age shows to an extent. Still, now I can say I have been there and done that.

Since the weekend I have been playing Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty and I like it a lot. There are some places where I would have torn my hair out if I had any. Meat grinders run too fast so I kept dying. Fluke saw me through, then I hit quickload instead of save... I managed to replicate the fluke, and then hit the right button.

So, finished Oddworld yesterday.
Currently playing Slay the Spire on and off. Really cool card-driven game. Highly recommended.

Picked up Destiny 2 for free on PS4. Lots more fun than I expected. The PVE missions are almost a roller coaster of constant movement. I still have no idea shat the game is about. It won't last but I'm having fun.

I've decided to play the Witcher series through again. Almost finished with #1 right now. Man this game is good. Love the choices it gives you and the consequences they have.

I tried too, and while I love the choices and atmosphere and writing of Witcher 1, the combat is just killing me. I forgot how bad it was after playing 3.

I never minded the combat. I liked the simple timing system, honestly, Witcher 2 was just a shit-show of uncontrollable weird fighting (although 3 was faaaaaantastic). I just turned it on easy anyway, I wanted to experience the story again. And holy CRAP I forgot how it ended with the huge twist. Daaaaaaamn that really rocked me. We basically caused everything awful that happened in Vizima Also reading the book while playing the game is really fun. I see a ton of references dropped to the book material, all over the place. I never played the "scenarios" before, so I'm gonna run through them now. Like little short video game stories.

Yeah, I thought the ending was super interesting in Witcher 1. I also loved how Season 1 had the timeline aspects (different timelines merging into one), which the first game also had (with Alvin).

Yeah I did like how everything converged in time toward a single point, I just wish they had told you we were watching three different timelines right away. You know, flash up a year for each character. Not a big gripe though.

Help. I downloaded the Sims 4 on PS4. My character is a loner that prefers to read, write, and play videogames rather than socialize and build a life. Even in the virtual world I'm a failure.

Oh...and Greedfall but I'll comment on the thread for that.

I really like the Sims but the expansion packs are too expensive for me. Probably good value for money, but still, almost a new game in terms of price.

I have been playing Valhalla Hills and enjoying it. Got my first viking to Valhalla this weekend, followed by his 20+ brothers. Yesterday I picked up Baldur's Gate again and played a good 3 hours. I can see the charm but I am not head over heels in love to be honest. Will see how it goes.

Playing Witcher 2 by myself now. Started playing through Chrono Cross with my son. I haven't played it since I was in college and I remember loving parts of it and hating parts of it. Want to see how I feel about it now and let Alex experience it (we've played Chrono Cross, Final Fantasies 1, 4, 6, and 9, and Phantasy Stars 1, 2, 3 and 4 together).
