The following rules WILL be followed at Wayfaring Gamers:
1. No profanity. The definition of profane language parallels that of the United States FCC standards. Simply, it is the words that you would expect to be offensive that are deemed as such.
2. No lewd speech. In keeping with censoring harsh slang references to genitalia, statements and speech pertaining to, suggesting, hinting at, or downright stating lewd or graphic sexual conduct is forbidden.
3. No personal attacks on any member of this forum. Likewise, there will be no harrassment or posting of personal information of another person.
4. No flaming. Heated discussions are encouraged but keep it a debate and not a name calling contest.
5. No spamming. If you have something to say, say it once and wait for a response before you restate your question.
6. No ads or promotions of any online site or product that is not asked for or is immaterial to the nature of this forum, ie, selling Amway or advertising a lawyer unsolicited.
7. No posting of any pornograpy, nor the posting of links leading to pornography. By pornography we mean any nudity. Scantily clad models are fine but pictures revealing breasts, anus, or sex organs will be defined as pornographic.
8. If your post is edited and you do not know why, email the administrator or a moderator. Do not argue with us on the threads.
9. The discussion, promotion, advertising, selling, or distribution of Warez or any other ripped, copied, hacked, or otherwise illegally downloaded software will not be tolerated. The offender's IP will be promptly reported to the victim.
10. Discussions based solely on politics will be discouraged. Laws and politics pertaining to games and gaming are acceptable as they keep in the spirit of the forum, but discussions on current political events not pertaining to games should be kept to a minimum. We recognize that the spirit of the times can make discussion of such issues a necessity (military strikes, a patron suffering because of current events) but bear in mind that political topics will be reviewed by the staff with scrutiny. Any heated arguments resulting from political discussions will be quickly ended.
11. Posts composed of one-word responses, nonsensical speech, and excessive, disruptive or pointless graphics (esp. "smilies") will be deleted if it is felt that they disrupt the flow of a thread. Disruption will be based on the frequency of the offending action within a post and the frequency of the poster to use such actions.
12. Signatures are to be kept to no more than two full lines, and signature banners must be limited to a size of 500x100 pixels. The content of signatures and signature banners are held to the same rules as general posts in this forum (profanity, nudity, etc). Banners with excessive sounds, flashing colors or disrupting effects will be deleted from the signature.
13. Have fun or leave.
