The sudden and unexpected cornucopia of historically themed games continues. www.bluesnews.com/s/271416/be-the-ruler-prologueGraphics are unusual, but otherwise looks interesting. You play Alfred the Great, trying to unite England against the Vikings.

2025 though? The graphics don't look that complicated; why is this taking another year? I kind of like it. Reminds me of Lords of the Realm II.

As long as it's good, I don't mind.
I am just loving all the historical stuff being worked on all of a sudden, something I've been whining about for years.
Be the ruler Bellwright Manor Lords Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Ghost of Tsushima (to PC) Bannerlord Age of Empires IV Pentiment Crusader Kings 3 A Plague Tale Red Dead Redemption 2 Assassin's Creed Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla/Mirage
Obviously not all of these will be good, but hell, even if 20-30% manage to be decent, it will be awesome! I feel like historical settings put pressure on developers to do better: if you can't write some half-assed plot about an evil wizard, you might have to create a decent story, and if you are forced to look up actual HEMA combat techniques, your combat won't be rolling around like an idiot.
