Bought it, installed it, been playing it for a few hours. A few early thoughts:
1. This is probably the best console port I've ever played in my life, in terms of the quality of the porting to PC. Apparently there is some company that does it for game dev companies now, and they are really good. Day 1 post, haven't ran into any issues so far (knock on wood), game runs smooth as silk, keyboard buttons are mostly displayed correctly during prompts (my pet peeve with From Software ports), looks great, just a really good job.
2. The game is stunningly beautiful. I am running it at Very High graphical settings (my relatively small resolution of 1980 x 1000 lets me do that with most games), and this is one of those rare games where the setting is gorgeous on its own, and the art direction matches it, and the game is new enough where it takes advantage of all the latest tech, so basically graphically, this one is up there with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Witcher 3 as one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.
3. Some minor issues I had, took me a while to figure out how to use Standoff, the instructions weren't the best, and also, it annoyed me that I couldn't draw/sheathe the sword myself. Read somewhere that it's a restriction on the intro part of the game, you can do it once you reach the actual open world part.
4. I am digging the combat, but I also don't know if I can hang at this difficulty. I started on Lethal, as this game doesn't have a reputation as being super hard or anything, but they weren't joking with the difficulty name. One hit, sometimes maybe 2, and you are dead. And enemies attack FAST, which is straining my aging reflexes. I really have to focus on enemy movements or I die immediately. Will see how it goes, might lower the difficulty later, but I really like the base mechanics, with the well timed blocks causing you to spin into an attacking position behind/beside the enemy, and having to use a different dodge against spears/bows, and the flavor of standoffs.
Anyways, seems fun so far!
"You are so drunk, you are probably seeing double." "That's OK, I have two guns, one for each of you."
Awesome, I'm glad it runs. Yeah the difficulty only gets harder as you go. I played it through on normal twice and even the second time it was slow going at the end. The Mongols are just brutal AI. It's easier if you do ALL the side missions and unlock all of the map before going after the last two missions. And definitely play how YOU want to play. A couple of NPC characters will tell you you're supposed to do this or that but run it your way, you'll feel rewarded in the end.
Jaded, sarcastic, veteran main characters are my preferred archetype in serious RPGs, if they are alcoholics, even better. -WC

I have such a love/hate relationship with the combat system here, on one hand it's really one of the best melee combat systems I've ever played, and when everything clicks, it's just magic, but on the other, it's freaking hard! You often get jumped by so many enemies at once, and you gotta defend against multiple melee attackers with different types of attacks each, while their buddies are peppering you with arrows from behind. DOCHAAA!!!
But when it works, like below, wow, feels exhilarating:
